1. Overview
China WindFarm Database is a set of database system used in wind farm field, which is developed together by Beijing Millennium Engineering Software Co. and China Hydropower Engineering Consulting Group Co. The system is mainly used to achieve the uniform management and centralized storage of the wind power base, wind farm data and wind measured data. The system is able to carry on query and summary of wind data via the GIS graphical management model.


2. Characteristics
¡óEase of use: Using standard Windows desktop operating environment, user-friendly, easy to operate.
¡óReliability: Running without closing-down under normal circumstances.
¡óOperability: Rapidly respond to the variously legitimate operation.
¡óSupport:Ensure the expansibility because of standardization of databases.
                 Ensure the flexibility through the settings of parameters.
                 Ensure the quickly and correctly installation via the simple, visual interface.


3. Functions

The database system consists of two categories data, one is the basic data, and the other is statistic, summary data and GIS browser. The system contains four main parts: system management, data dictionary maintenance, data maintenance and query statistics part, seen as follows:



(1)System Management
This section mainly includes: user management, rights management, user units management, and log management, introduced as follows. 1) User management: Used to manage the system user. 2) Rights management: Sets up different user permissions basing on the system security considerations. Control the operational function according to the different user permissions. 3) User units management: Used for the maintenance of system users units, including add, delete, change of users units information. 4) Log Management: Used to track the history of the operation, including the information of users, operations, result of operation and so on.

(2) Data dictionary maintenance
This section includes: administrative region dictionary and system data dictionary.
¡óAdministrative region dictionary: Used to carry out the maintenance of the national administrative region dictionary, including add, modify, query, delete and so on.


¡óSystem data dictionary: Used to carry out the maintenance of relevant data dictionary used in the system, including add, modify, delete, query, and so on.




(3)Data Maintenance
This section includes: wind power base data, wind farm data, anemometry mast data and Met. Station data.
¡óWind power base data maintenance: Used to input relevant data of each wind power base for each province (district).
¡óWind farm data maintenance: Used to input relevant data of each wind farm.



¡óAnemometry mast data maintenance: Used for the maintenance of relevant wind mast data.
¡óMet. Station data maintenance: Used for the maintenance of relevant weather station data.

(4)Query statistics
Query statistics module includes inquiries, statistics, GIS browser.
Query function consists of simple query and integrated query. All query results can be printed, and be able to export as the form of document, so that the users can re-mix, edit and use the query results.
¡óSimple query: Used for simple query of the recorded wind power base, wind farm, anemometry mast and Met. Station data. Query results can be printed, and the detailed information, graphics and so on can be viewed.





¡óIntegrated Query: Used for integrated query of the recorded wind power base, wind farm, wind mast, Met. station data. Query results can be printed and exported. Simultaneously, preserve the query-criteria which have been set for the next Query / output.


¡óData Summary: Used for aggregate statistics of wind farm data. The results can be printed out.


¡óGIS browser: Used for scanning the wind farm on the map, showing the exact location of wind farm to view the detailed information.
